Love In The ER

Slowly inhale.

Now exhale.

That relief you felt?

That’s what putting you first feels like.

A relief.

We inhale over 25,000 times a day with faith that the same God who allowed us to exhale will allow us to inhale again.

That breath is proof.

Proof that you are still here. Proof that you were created on purpose. Proof that before anybody needed you, wanted you, hurt you, or misunderstood you…

God made you.

And sometimes life will make you forget that.

Pain will make you forget. Rejection will make you forget. Trying to be everything for everybody will make you forget.

But Love In The ER is where we remember.

This is emotional regulation. This is self-reflection. This is learning how to stop calling self-abandonment love.

Psalm 139 says you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Not accidentally made. Not cheaply made. Wonderfully made.

Maybe you had to be broken a time or two. Maybe God had to reshape some things. But the piece was never worthless.

The piece is you.

Perfectly imperfect. Useful. Unique. Still breathing. Still becoming.

So stop treating yourself like you are replaceable.

Your peace matters. Your healing matters. Your connection matters.

What are you connected to?

Because whatever you are connected to will either drain you or develop you.

Be accountable.

Get aligned.

You first.

Choose Accordingly.
